between the nylon fabric and the urethane adhesive coating. Barritex™ is designed to extend the life of neoprene, especially when Iron Mend is used for wear protection. Iron Mend Ironing Paper is a unique reusable heat resistant paper used to protect neoprene wetsuits from high temperature.
Iron Mend Ironing Paper allows heat to pass through its surface , but protecting the fabric so that it does not burn. Iron Mend should not be used without the special paper. The paper should always be used in its entirety during Iron Mend repairs, no matter how large the patch, to protect the surrounding neoprene area.
